Peter McNamara

Peter McNamara ( born July 5, 1955 in Melbourne ) is an Australian former tennis player.

In his career he won five individual titles, including the 1981 International German Tennis Championships in Hamburg. In 1983 he achieved his highest position on the tennis world ranking 7th place.

In doubles, he was far more successful. There he won in 19 tournaments mostly with his compatriot Paul McNamee. The two won, among others, in 1980 and 1982 the doubles competition at Wimbledon.

In 2012, Peter McNamara and Paul McNamee denied the tournament at Wimbledon. Along with many other famous tennis players, they started at the held at the event invitation tournament.
