Peter Nyborg

Peter Nyborg ( born December 12, 1969 in Gothenburg ) is a former Swedish tennis player.


Nyborg 1988 professional tennis player. Since he was able to achieve more success in singles, he focused on the double. In 1993 he celebrated at the side of Jan Apell in Seoul his first tournament victory on the ATP World Tour. Throughout his career, he won five doubles titles, including the tournament in Kitzbühel from the category ATP International Series Gold. Another six times he stood in a double finals. Its highest listing in the tennis world ranking he reached in 1989 with position 166 in singles and in 1996 with position 38 in doubles.

In the individual he was never able to qualify for a Grand Slam tournament. In doubles, he stood each in the second round of the Australian Open, the French Open and the U.S. Open, Wimbledon was his best result of reaching the third round.
