Peter Paul Wiplinger

Peter Paul Wiplinger ( born June 25, 1939 in Haslach ) is an Austrian writer and artistic photographer.

Wiplinger was born in 1939 in Haslach in Upper Austria as the tenth child of a merchant family and brother of Fridolin Wiplinger. In his youth he attended, among others, the Episcopal High School Petrinum. After that he studied theater, German and philosophy. Since 1960 he works as a freelance writer and photographer based in Vienna. As a member of the international and the Austrian PEN Club, the Austrian League for Human Rights, the Documentation Centre of Austrian Resistance and IG authors authors, he has received numerous awards and honors. 2006, the title of Professor Honoris Causa awarded him.

So far he has published about 30 books that have been translated into more than 20 languages. Among his works mainly include political lyrics, love poems and artistic photos.
