Peter Pilz

Peter Pilz (born 22 January 1954 in Kapfenberg, Styria ) is an Austrian politician (Greens ) and author.

Life and career

Peter Pilz studied from 1973 to 1979 economics and political science at the University of Vienna. In 1983, he became the Dr. rer. soc. oec. doctorate. According to serve the Zivildiensts he worked as a freelance writer and social scientist. After the first activities in academic teaching, he opted for a political career.

Peter Pilz is married.

He is also active in the band Prince Pezi and the Secretaries of State and founded Titus Vadon, currently drummer of Russkaya, under the name Old Pezihand and Trapper Gert the band Lasso brothers.

Political activity

Peter Pilz was during his student days, a member of the Trotskyist group Revolutionary Marxists and is a founding member of the Austrian countryside. After the national election in 1986 drew fungus for the Green Alternative to the Austrian parliament. From 1986 to 1991 he was, inter alia, Member of the Austrian National Defence Council.
