Peter Rauhofer

Peter Rauhofer ( born April 29, 1965 in Vienna, † May 7, 2013 in New York City ) was an Austrian DJ and musician.

Rauhofer released several studio albums and was known primarily for his remixes for artists such as Depeche Mode, Madonna, Seal, Funky Green Dogs, Britney Spears, Pet Shop Boys and Kylie Minogue.

Life

Rauhofer began his career with the Artists and repertoire management of GIG Records. The first successes he achieved under the name " Club 69 ". His style changed from tribal house to a more progressive direction. In the late 1990s, he was known primarily for his remixes by international artists. Rauhofer also published under names such as " House Heroes", "Danube Dance" and "Size Queen". Together with Victor Calderone, he worked as "The Collaboration".

In April 2013, a brain tumor was diagnosed with Rauhofer. In early May 2013, died in his adopted home of New York City at the age of 48 years. He was buried in the cemetery Oberlaa.
