Peter Ritzen

Peter Ritzen (born 21 January 1956 in Ghent) is a Flemish pianist, composer and conductor.

Life

Cracks studied at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent. He continued his studies at the Mozarteum in Salzburg on. He was also informed by the Russian pianist Tatiana Petrovna Nikolaeva. He reached the diplomas Superieure d'Execution of piano at the École Normale de Musique de Paris.

Scribing is active as a concert pianist in Europe, Asia and the United States. He has performed with various orchestras and ensembles, including the Salzburg Soloists. His own compositions are inspired by Chinese music; they are moved from Naxos.

In 1991 he founded the Leschetizky Club in Bad Ischl. Together with Margret Tautschnig, the great-granddaughter of Theodore Leschetizky, he opened the same year the International Leschetizky Summer Academy at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. As a recognized Leschetizky and Liszt Performer 2000 and 2004 he was artistic director of the International Piano Competition Theodor Leschetizky in Taipei, Taiwan over the years. Peter Ritzen is with the Austrian pianist Jörg Demus friends and worked together.

In 2005 his Symphony ' Heavenly Peace ', work with more than 400 performers, premiered at the National Concert Hall in Taipei.

Since 2013 cracks is Music Director of the Philharmonic Orchestra Beijing.
