Peter Rodgers Melnick

Peter Rodgers Melnick ( born July 24, 1958) is an American composer.

Biography

Peter Rodgers Melnick is the son of film producer Daniel Melnick and his wife Linda Rodgers. His grandfather is the winner of 20 Oscars composer Richard Rodgers. He is also the nephew of the author and composer Mary Rodgers. He grew up in New York City and attended The Choate School. He then studied at Harvard College, Berklee College of Music, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and jazz with Jaki Byard. Melnick 1987 debuted as a film composer with the music to the staged by Dan Peterson horror comedy Vampire Party. His most famous film scores were to LA Story and Only You.
