Peter Rzehak

Peter Rzehak ( born February 8, 1970 in Brixlegg ) is a former Austrian alpine skier. The career of the Downhill and Super -G specialists was repeatedly interrupted by injury. His biggest success was the second place in the Hahnenkamm downhill in 1999.

Peter Rzehak 1988 won bronze in the Downhill and Super - G at the World Youth Championship. In 1990 he played his first World Cup race in Schladming. Overall, he reached the World Cup at 96 inserts five podiums ( 4 Downhill, Super -G 1 ). For the Olympic Games or World Championships he was occasionally called to the Austrian Ski Team, but never came to a race, as he could not prevail against the strong Austrian competition.

Greater success remained Rzehak denied mainly because of numerous injuries. He suffered in the course of his career three ACL tears, a Patellarsehnenriss, a thumb fracture and a dislocation of the shoulder. In the spring of 2004 as a result of injuries he announced his retirement from active competition.
