Peter Schnittger

Peter Schnittger ( May 22nd, 1941 in Hann. Munden ) is a German football coach.

Life

Since 1968, Schnittger worked for the German Agency for Technical Cooperation. On their behalf, he promoted the sports development in developing countries. Sideline as a coach, he was also active in the context of infrastructure and youth development.

In his first coaching position he reached with the Ivorian national football team the semi-finals of the Africa Cup. The following year he won the African Cup national champion as coach of Cameroon Canon Yaoundé Association. His only coach station outside Africa held Schnittger as national coach of Thailand in the years 1976 to 1978 after he had broken off his engagement to the Ethiopian federation because of a protracted civil war.

Schnittger worked for various football associations in Africa and Thailand.
