Peter Seisenbacher

Peter Seisenbacher ( born March 25, 1960 in Vienna ) is a former Austrian judoka and winner of the 7th Dan.

On his participation in the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles to Seisenbacher prepared at Tokai University and the University of Tsukuba in Japan, where he found the ideal training conditions. For his development to Spitzenjudoka his coach George Kerr, Norbert Herrmann and Lutz Lischka have made ​​their contribution. The self-confidence gained in Japan led him to the first Olympic gold medal. Four years later he became the first judoka ever a successful title defense at the Olympic Games in Seoul.

Following his racing career Seisenbacher worked until 1992 as Secretary General of Austrian Sports Aid. After that, he was the national team coach for the men of the Austrian Judo Association. He was released after a dispute with a team of fighters on the A- tournament in Leon thing in 1991 and suspended for one year. In 1984 he founded the " Budoclub Vienna ". Between 2005 and 2010 he was president of the Vienna Judo National Association.

From 2010 he was the coach of the Georgian national judo master.
