Peter Sejna

Peter Sejna ( born October 5, 1979 in Liptovsky Mikulas, Czechoslovakia) is a Slovak professional ice hockey player who stands since 2012 at the Rapperswil -Jona Lakers of the Swiss National League A under contract.

Career

Peter Sejna began his career as a hockey player with the MHk 32 Liptovsky Mikulas, for whom he played from 1996 to 1998 in the Slovak Extraliga and already at junior level was active. Prior to the 1998/99 season, the attacker moved to North America, where he worked for the Des Moines Buccaneers of the United States Hockey League, and finally three years for the team of Colorado College was initially for two years on the ice. Towards the end of the 2002/ 03 gave the Slovak made ​​his debut for the St. Louis Blues in the National Hockey League. There, the Hobey Baker Memorial Award winner was a total of four seasons long stood under the contract, whereby Sejna though mainly played for St. Louis ' farm team. First, the Slovak ran from 2003 to 2005 for Worcester IceCats and finally from 2005 to 2007 for the Peoria Rivermen in the American Hockey League on.

In the summer of 2007 Sejna received a contract with the ZSC Lions of the Swiss National League A, with whom he was Swiss champion in the 2007/ 08 season and a year later, the Champions Hockey League won. As of 2010 stood at Sejna HC Davos under contract.

From the 2012/13 season put Peter Sejna continued his career at the Rapperswil -Jona Lakers, where he signed a contract for two years duration.

Internationally

For Slovakia Sejna took part in the U20 World Youth Championship in 1999, and the 2003 World Championships in part.
