Peter Selg

Peter Selg (born 5 August 1963 in Stuttgart ) is a German specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry and author of numerous publications particularly for anthroposophical medicine and the history of anthroposophy.

Life

Peter Selg visited 1975-1983 high school in Wendlingen, from which he graduated with the Abitur. It was followed two years community service in nursing in Munich. 1986 Selg began studying medicine at the University of Witten / Herdecke. He was a scholar of the Foundation of the German people. After one year internship at the University Hospital in Berlin and Zurich, he received his doctorate in 1993 with a comprehensive study on the body - term Rudolf Steiner, which was later published under the title From logos human physique. After training as a specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry was. He worked in this area seven years (until 2000) in the Herdecke Community Hospital.

Peter was Selg staff at the Freiburg Institute for Applied Epistemology and Medical Methodology, and at the Medical Section at the Goetheanum. From 2002 to 2006 he was a senior physician at the Ita Wegman Clinic in Arlesheim. He works as a director of the Ita Wegman Institute for Basic Research into Anthroposophy, a professor of medical anthropology at the Alanus College of Art and society. Selg has published numerous books on medical topics and biographies of various personalities. He has worked as a lecturer and lives in Freiburg.
