Peter Stein (cinematographer)
Peter Michael Stone ( born October 12, 1943 in New York City ) is an American cinematographer.
Life
Peter Michael Stone was born as the son of German immigrant and photographer Fred Stein and in New York City. He made 1965 his bachelor's degree from City College of New York. For the first time, Stein was in 1977 with the biopic A Good Dissonance Like a Man as a cameraman responsible. This was followed by movies like Friday the 13th - Jason returns, Pet Sematary and Armadillo Bears - A totally chaotic heap.
Peter Stein taught at SUNY Purchase and since 2002 also at the Kanbar Institute of Film & Television at the Tisch School of the Arts.
Stone lives with his wife, screenwriter and film editor consultant Dawn Freer, and their children in South Salem, New York.
