Péter Tatai

Péter Tatai [ pe ː tɛr tɒtɒ.i ] ( born June 23, 1983 in Győr) is a Hungarian handball player.

Tatai, the ( shirt number 12 ) has been playing the 2010/11 season for the Hungarian club Pick Szeged and the Hungarian men's national handball team ( number 16 ) runs, is handball goalkeeper.

Péter Tatai began in his hometown with the handball game. For Gyori ETO KC, he debuted in the first Hungarian League. He quickly became a top performer and international, won with Győr but no title so that he 2005 series champion Hungarian MKB Veszprém changed where already played his former teammate, Gergo Iváncsik. With the men from Lake Balaton Tatai won the Hungarian Cup in 2006 and the Hungarian Cup in 2007, but was behind Dejan Peric usually only the second goalie. In 2008 he won with Veszprém the European Cup winners and the Hungarian Championship. From 2008, he stood in the gate of the French first division club U.S. Dunkerque HB. Two years later Tatai returned to Hungary, where he signed a contract with Pick Szeged.

Péter Tatai has been disputed 74 caps for the Hungarian men's national handball team, was behind Nándor Fazekas but usually only second choice. With Hungary he also took part in the Men's Handball World Championship for Men 2007 in Germany, occupied with his team, but only the 9th Place. He is in the squad for the European Championship 2014.
