Peter van Dalen

Peter van Dalen ( born September 3, 1958 in Zwijndrecht ) is a Dutch politician of the ChristianUnion.

Life

Dalen studied history and international relations at the University of Utrecht and he succeeded where the degree in contemporary history and international relations. After studying Dalen worked in the Dutch administration. From 1995 to 2001 he was employed as head of the inland waterways in the Dutch Ministry of Transport and Water Management. Since July 14, 2009 van Dalen is member of the European Parliament. There Dalen is Vice Chair of the Committee on Transport and Tourism and a member of the Delegation for relations with India. As deputy van Dahlen is the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety, the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy and the Delegation for relations with South Africa

Dalen is married, lives in Houten and is a member of the Protestant Church in the Netherlands.
