Peter Vanderkaay

Peter Vanderkaay (2010)

Peter Vanderkaay (born 12 February 1984 in Rochester Hills, Michigan) is an American swimmer who specializes in the longer freestyle distances. He studied and trained at the University of Michigan.

Achievements

  • Won numerous medals at the Universiade 2003 in Daegu / South Korea
  • Olympic champion in Athens in 2004 with the U.S. 4 x 200 meter freestyle relay
  • World Champion 2005 in Montreal with the 4 x 200 meter freestyle relay
  • Olympic champion in Beijing 2008 with the U.S. 4 x 200 meter freestyle relay

Records

Its been imputed in Beijing on 13 August 2008 with Phelps, Berens and Lochte world record 4 × 200 m freestyle was undercut on 31 July 2009 by one hundredth.
