Peter Veselovský

Peter Veselovský ( born November 11, 1964 in Košice, Czechoslovakia ) is a former Slovak ice hockey player.

Career

Peter Veselovský learned the Hockey Game in his hometown at Partizán Liptovsky Mikulas. His military service, he graduated from the Army Sports Club VTJ Michalovce, for he held until 1987, was active from 1985 in the first SNHL, the Slovakian Season of the second Czechoslovak league. Then, the attacker moved to TJ VSŽ Košice. For the team he first played from 1987 to 1993 in the first league, the highest Czechoslovak League, where he won the national championship with his team in the season 1987/88. In the 1993/94 season he spent with Kosice in the newly established by division of Czechoslovakia Slovak Extraliga. For the 1994/95 season for HC Škoda Plzeň Veselovský moved from the Czech Extraliga. In the following season, he ran again for the TJ VSZ Kosice, Slovak champion with whom he was at first.

In the 1996/97 season Veselovský was back in the Czech Extraliga on the ice, but this time for the HC Becherovka Karlovy Vary. This was followed by one each season in the Slovak Extraliga during MHk 32 Liptovsky Mikulas and in the French Ligue Magnus at Hockey Club de Caen. From 1999 to 2001 he was at Dunaferr SE Dunaújváros under contract. With the team he was in season 1999/2000 Hungarian Champion. In the same season he was voted the best foreign player. Most recently, he ran in the 2002/03 season on the HK 36 Skalica and HK Ves ​​in the Slovak Extraliga, before he ended his career at the age of 38 years.

Since then Veselovský works at U.S. Steel Kosice in the Department of desulfurization.

Internationally

For Czechoslovakia Veselovský participated in the Olympic Winter Games in Albertville in 1992 and the World Championship in 1992 in part. In both tournaments he won the bronze medal with his team.
