Peter Wibrån

Peter Wibrån ( born March 23, 1969 in Växjö ) is a former Swedish football player and current assistant coach in the service of Östers IF.

Association

The midfielder started in the youth of the IFK Lammhults playing football and changed over the stations Vederslöv - Dänningelanda and Östers IF for first division club Helsingborgs IF.

For the 1998/99 season Wibrån moved to FC Hansa Rostock in the 1st Bundesliga. For the Hanseatic League he completed five seasons in the German top flight and came to a total of 137 Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal ten inserts. He scored 15 league and two cup goals.

In the summer of 2003 Wibrån moved to his native Sweden to Östers IF and ended in January 2007 his career. At the end of the 2007 season Wibrån returned once to the team and graduated as a reserve player four league games in which he, however, could no longer prevent the march to the third tier.

Since his career end Wibrån observed as a freelance scout the Scandinavian football for FC Hansa Rostock and advises the German third division side in the search for young talents from Sweden.

The same time he laces up the football boots for his fourth-rate home IFK Lammhult.

National

Wibrån played between 1995 and 1997 times for the Swedish national football team. He made his debut on 10 June 1995 in the 2-2 draw against Japan in Nottingham. A goal he did not succeed in the national team.

Coach

After his time as an active player Wibrån took over Östers IF the office of an assistant coach.
