Peter Wolf

Peter Wolf ( born May 7, 1946 in New York City ) is an American musician, and was from 1967 to 1983 singer of the J. Geils Band.

Career

Wolf wanted to be an artist at first, but was active in the 1960s as a disc jockey at the radio station WBCN in Boston. There, his interest was aroused especially for blues, whereupon his musical career first began as a solo artist. Later he founded a group called hallucinations that occurred among other things with The Velvet Underground, Howlin 'Wolf, Muddy Waters, Van Morrison, John Lee Hooker, and Sun Ra. When he finally saw the J. Geils Band at a concert, he decided to join this.
