Peter Woodring

Peter Woodring ( born 2 May 1968 in Kentfield, California ) is a former American football player.

Woodring began his career at the University of California team of UC Berkeley, the California Golden Bears. Between 1986 and 1990, the attacking midfielder played there and was elected three times to the most valuable player of the season (1987, 1988 and 1990). In 1991, the German Oberliga Woodring SV Wiesbaden. After one season, he ventured into the Bundesliga for Hamburger SV. In the two years that followed did not succeed Woodring, is recommended for the North German under coach Benno Möhlmann for the league. Only six inserts in the two seasons 92/93 and 93/94 he managed, most of the time he played in the premier league team HSV.

For the 1994/95 season, he joined the Danish club Aalborg BK. He came to 26 inserts, scoring five goals and was awarded the Association of Danish master. However, he left the club after a season again, to join the German Oberliga SV labor. In 1996 he returned to the U.S. and played there still any of these New England Revolution Columbus Crew.

For the U.S. National team played Woodring 1993 three times. He made his debut in February against Russia. In the U.S. Cup 1993, he appeared as a substitute against Brazil ( 0-2) in the 69th minute. He had his third and last mission in the Copa América 1993 group match against Uruguay ( final score 0:1 ).
