Peter " Paco" Wrolich (* May 30, 1974 in Klagenfurt ) is an Austrian former road bicycle racer.

Sporting career

Since 1988 Peter Wrolich operational cycling and was in all junior classes Austrian champion. After 1999 he became a professional, he drove the team Gerolsteiner. After the dissolution of the team Gerolsteiner Wrolich drove in the 2009 season for the team Milram.

2001 Peter Wrolich won the Australian Herald Sun Tour, 2002 Rund um Köln and 2004 Around the Hainleite. 1996 and 2000 launched Wrolich in the road race at the Olympic Games. Five times he competed in the Tour de France, but never came under the first hundred. In the 2009 Tour de France Wrolich had prematurely because of a gastrointestinal virus ad, ending the tour before the 13th stage from Vittel to Colmar. In November 2010, he announced his retirement from professional cycling.

Private

Wrolich is a member of the Slovene-speaking minority of Carinthia. He grew up in Latschach Upper Lake Faak (municipality Finkenstein am Faak ) and graduated in 1991 at the BG / BRG for Slovenes (ZG / zrg za Slovence Celovcu v ) in Klagenfurt. He then spent five years as a member of the Army Sports and melee School in Vienna. Wrolich operates in Latschach in Carinthia own specialty restaurant called Taverna " Paco". He also runs a cycling camp for amateurs and hobbyists. (As of 2013)
