Petr Borkovec

Petr Borkovec ( born April 17, 1970 in Louňovice pod Blaníkem ) is a Czech poet, translator and a cultural editor.

Life

1995 and 1996, the Buchwerkstatt Thannhäuser brought the selection volumes out from three books and Überfuhr.

In 1995, Borkovec for his book of poems Ochoz ( "Handling " ) the Jiří Orten Poetry Prize. For the band Polní Prace ( " fieldwork " ) he the norbert - c. - kaser Prize was awarded in 2002. In the same year he was awarded the Hubert Burda Prize for Young Poetry. In the summer semester 2003, he took over the fifth poetry chair for "Literature in Central Europe" in Dresden. 2004/2005 he spent at the invitation of the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD as a writer in residence in Berlin.

Was published in 2001 by Edition correspondences of bilingual poetry book fieldwork. In a kind of diary Borkovec wrote about the periphery of the Czech capital and the suburb Černošice in which he lives. These also appeared a CD, read by the author and Otto Sander.

In 2004, the edition correspondences out the bilingual poetry collection needle book.
