Petr Hapka

Petr Hapka ( born May 13, 1944 in Prague, Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia ) is a Czech musician and composer.

Biography

Petr Hapka studied at the Prague Conservatory violin and vocals and headed by Oldrich Nový also acting. During his studies, he played at various theaters and played for different bands. However, he also focused on the composition for television and film productions. His first known film composition was for the action Bororo 's 1973 and directed by Otakar Fuka science fiction film. For his compositions at the two films Hanele and Fimfárum Jana Wericha Hapka was nominated in 2000 and 2003 respectively for the Czech film prize, the Bohemian Lion for Best Film Music.

Parallel wrote to his film work, composing songs Hapka also for Czech musicians such as Karel Gott and Lucie Bila Hana Hegerová.

Hapka was married several times and has seven children.
