Petr Samec

Petr Samec ( born February 14, 1964 in Frýdek- Místek ) is a former Czech football player and current football coach.

Playing career

Petr Samec played in his youth for NHKG Ostrava and Sokol Hrabůvka. His military service, he graduated from 1984 to 1986 at RH Plana. In the season 1986/97 he was in the squad runners- TJ Vitkovice, but did not play. Subsequently, the striker returned to NHKG Ostrava, but withdrew after only half a year to further Baník Havířov. In early 1990, moved Samec to Sigma Olomouc in the first division and came in the course of the second half to four substitutions. He spent the following season back in Havířov. In the summer of 1991 he was engaged by the first division club Dynamo České Budějovice, for whom he played 14 games and scored his first league goal. In the second half of the 1991/92 season played for migrant bird for Gera Drnovice.

The breakthrough came Samec until the age of 29 in Union Cheb. In the 1992/93 season he helped the club to promotion in the Czech first league newly founded, in the following two seasons 1993/94 and 1994/95 he met 16 times in 58 games.

Due to the good shape came Petr Samec at the age of 30 years on 23 February 1994 on his first international match, the Czech Republic won against Turkey 4-1, Samec played eight minutes. In his only international match over 90 minutes, a 4-1 win over Finland on 8 March 1995, the attacker scored two goals.

In the 1995/96 season Samec played for SKP Hradec Králové, from 1996 to December 2000 at Banik Ostrava. With nine goals, including seven against first round opponent FC Vaduz Samec was top scorer of the European Cup Winners' Cup 1995 /96 apply.

In an outstanding form of the aging striker came again in 1997/98, in which he scored eleven goals in 23 games for Ostrava. In December 2000, he was singled out at Banik Ostrava and played in the second half 2000/ 01 for the FC Roubina Dolni Kounice. Afterwards he went to 2003 for FC Hlučín hunting for goals in season 2005/ 06 he played alongside for the sixth division club Sokol Krasne Pole.

Coaching career

Initial experience in the coaching profession made ​​Samec in the 2002/03 season as an assistant coach at FC Hlučín, from April 2003, he was head coach there. In the season 2004/ 05 he was responsible for the B- team of the SFC Opava, then he was back in Hlučín assistant. For the season 2007/ 08 he was again chief responsibility for coach at FC Hlučín in the second league. Despite the rise in the second league, his contract was not renewed, whereupon Samec went in the summer of 2009, to Qatar, to train the youth team of Al Fahaheel. After a year he returned to the Czech Republic and took over as coach at fourth division club Slavia Orlová.
