Petr Tenkrát

Petr Tenkrat ( born May 31, 1977 in Kladno, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech ice hockey and inline hockey player who is under contract with HC Sparta Prague in the Czech Extraliga since May 2011.

Career

Tenkrat began his career in his hometown of Kladno, where he played until 1999 in the Czech Extraliga. During the NHL Entry Draft in 1999, he was selected to 230th place in the eighth passage of the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, but decided at an exchange to Finland to play there with HPK Hämeenlinna. Even during the same season, he moved to Ilves Tampere, but finally went in the summer of 2000, but to North America to the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim.

However, he came again and again with the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks of the American Hockey League action, so he came up with 46 inserts in the NHL and 25 missions in the AHL. He was also still used three times in the play-offs of the AHL.

In the 2001 /02 season he moved from the Mighty Ducks to Nashville Predators and went for another 58 games in the NHL on the ice. At Tenkráts time in North America again was followed by a stay in Finland, this time at the Oulu Kärpät, which was 2003/ 04 interrupted by a commitment to the Russian Superleague. He played at Kärpät to season 2005/06. With this team he won the 2004 and 2005 Finnish Championship. For the seasons 2006 /07 and 2007/ 08 Tenkrat signed a contract with the Swiss National A- division team SC Bern. However, the contract included a release clause NHL, already made ​​use of the Tenkrat in June 2006. Instead in the National League A, he followed the call to the NHL to play in the 2006/07 season with the Boston Bruins. The Bruins had to refer to the North American rights to Tenkrat of the Toronto Maple Leafs against a draft law in the NHL Entry Draft 2006 exchange. The Maple Leafs had obtained the rights to the NHL Waiver Draft Tenkrat by 2003.

After an NHL year in Boston, he initially returned to his hometown club, but switched after 13 matchdays to Sweden for Timrå IK because he thus signed a tax-free half -year contract. By 2010 he was in Sweden under the contract, whereby he spent the 2009/10 season at Skellefteå AIK. In October 2010, he returned to Kärpät Oulu. In May 2011, he was obliged by HC Sparta Prague in the Czech Extraliga.

Internationally

Petr Tenkrat came in his career at three IIHF World Championships and an inline hockey World Championship for the Czech Republic used: For the Czech national ice hockey team, he participated in the U20 World Cup in 1997, and at the Ice Hockey World Championship for Men in 2006 and 2007 in part. In 2008 he was appointed to the squad of Czech inline hockey team and took this at the IIHF Inline Hockey World Championships 2008 in Bratislava part where they finished fifth.
