Petr Ton

Petr Ton ( born October 8, 1973 in Kladno, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech professional ice hockey player who plays for HC Sparta Prague since 2003.

Career

Petr Ton began his career in 1991 in his hometown in the junior team of Poldi Kladno SONP. A year later he made his debut in the men's team of the club in the top Czech league and won with his team in the newly formed 1993 Czech Extraliga, the first regular season. However, the HC Kladno was eliminated by the eventual champions HC Olomouc in the playoff semifinals. In the following years established itself Petr sound within the team. During the season 1997/98 he got a contract offer from Finland Jokerit played the rest of the season for this club in the SM- liiga Jokerit and reached the playoff semifinals. Despite this success, and the associated qualification for the European Hockey League in the summer of 1998 he moved to league rivals Espoo Blues. A year later he signed a contract with JYP Jyväskylä and met his countryman Jaroslav Bednar. At JYP he spent a total of three seasons and has twice been the best scorer of his team, but missed JYP always the playoffs. For the 2002/ 03 season he signed a contract with Kärpät Oulu, reaching the " weasels " the playoff final, but that went with 0:3 lost to Tappara.

Before the 2003 /04 tone returned to the Czech Republic and participated in a contract offer from the HC Sparta Prague, where he plays since then. In the season 2005/ 06 he won the Czech league titles with Sparta and was top scorer in the league. A year later, Sparta won the championship again. In the 2007 /08 season was Petr Ton topscorer the Extraliga, but different with the HC Sparta in the playoff quarterfinals from ..

Internationally

Petr clay has been taken only once in international championships in his career: for the U20 World Cup in 1993, he received an appointment to the squad during the tournament, scoring one goal and five assists and won the U20 selection of ČSFR the bronze medal. For the Czech National Ton graduated the previous 17 matches in which he scored six goals.
