Petra Overzier

Petra Overzier ( born March 8, 1982 in Cologne, married Petra Reichel ) is a German badminton player. Petra Reichel is a trained industrial clerk and has sports and tourism management studies.

Sporting career

Petra Over decorative won six times the German Junior Championships and twice the German championship in women's singles. In 2003, she transferred to 1 BC Beuel, with which it was in 2005 German team champion. In the years in which it was only a finalist at the German Meisterschaftein in women's singles, she lost each against Xu Huaiwen. In the period January to August 2005, she took a break from badminton sport. In 2006 she won the first -born in Germany player a medal at the Individual Badminton Championships in Madrid in women's singles.

On 1 February 2007, she made a career break known because she was pregnant. In June 2007, Petra Reichel announced her marriage to Boris Reichel. By June 1, 2007 Petra Reichel followed her husband to 1 BV Mülheim in the club membership. Together with Michaela Peiffer, Gregory Schneider, Alexander Roovers, Steffen Hohenberg and Adrian Gevelhoff both went on to the 2nd Bundesliga Nord for the 2008/09 season.

Also Petras younger sister Birgit Over ornamental, is a successful badminton player.

Unless otherwise stated, all titles in the women's singles discipline are achieved.
