Petrarca-Preis

The Petrarch Prize is an endowment founded by Hubert Burda international literary prize, which was awarded from 1975 to 1995 to contemporary poets and translators. As a successor from 1999 to 2009 the Hermann Lenz Prize has been awarded since 2010 again the Petrarch Prize. From 1987 to 1995 there were in addition to Petrarch Translator's Prize for Literary Translation.

In the first jury was in 1975, among others Bazon Brock, Nicolas Born, Peter Handke and Michael Krüger, 2010, Peter Handke, Michael Krüger, Alfred Kolleritsch and Peter Hamm, the jury members. The doping is 20,000 euros, which can be divided between several winners.
