Petria Thomas

Petria Thomas ( born August 25, 1975 in Lismore, Australia) is an Australian swimmer. She is three -time Olympic gold medalist and nine -time World Champion.

At the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, she managed the first athlete ever in the swimming position butterfly all three ( 50, 100 and 200 m) to win medal decisions, as you introduced there for the first time the 50 -m distance than competition. At the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004, Thomas won the gold medal in the 100 m butterfly. It was also Olympic champion with the Australian squadrons on 4 x 100 m freestyle and 4 x 100 m medley and won the 200m butterfly silver medal.
