Petrocasa

Petro Casa ( " oil house" ) is the name of Venezuelan single-family homes in mass production. These houses have been produced since 2007 by the Corporación Petroquímica de Venezuela ( Pequiven ) and find within the public housing program Misión Hábitat their use in rural areas. The houses usually have 70 m² living space, which is divided into three bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, kitchen and dining room. The houses will be assembled on site from PVC profiles and the walls then filled with concrete. These are self-extinguishing in case of fire and resist the attack with nine-millimeter cartridges virtually unscathed. TÜV Rheinland certified in August 2009 that the PVC used was free of cancer-causing substances.
