Petronor

Petronor ( abbreviated name of Petróleos del Norte, S. A. ) is a Spanish petrochemical company headquartered in place Muskiz ( province of Biscay, in the Basque Country ). The company was founded in 1968.

The refinery of the company in Muskiz is the largest in Spain and processed in the year 11 million tons of hydrocarbons. Petronor reached in 2007 with a turnover of 5.6 billion euros a net profit of 295 million euros.

Petronor also maintains a network of petrol stations in northern Spain.

85.98 % of its capital owned by the petrochemical company Repsol YPF, which keeps the rest of the Savings Bank of Biscay Bilbao Bizkaia Kutxa. The president of the company since July 2008, the Basque politician Josu Jon Imaz.
