Petrovice II

Petro Vice II ( German Petrowitz II) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is 17 kilometers northeast of Vlašim and belongs to Okres Kutná Hora.

Geography

Petro Vice II is located in the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands on a ridge overlooking the valley of Lozinsky creek.

Neighboring towns are Bostice and Tlučeň in the north, and Centice Kasanice in the east, in the southeast Knez, Polipsy in the south, Losiny to the southwest, and Zderadiny Koblasko in the west and Vestec and Vlková in the northwest.

History

Petrovice was first documented in 1291. The church of St. Martin is detectable as Plebanie since 1350. After the church was a branch church parishes in Kacov and then been Čestín later, she became a parish church in 1866.

Attractions

  • Massive wooden bell tower in the cemetery, the bells come from Jakub Ptáček from Kutna Hora ( 1539) and Benedict Briot (1659 ).
