Petter Andersson (born 20 February 1985 in Ljusvattnet ) is a Swedish football player. The offensive player who came in 2005 in two appearances for the Swedish national team for use, is at FC Groningen since 2008 under contract.

Career

Andersson began playing football at Ljusvattnets IF before moving to Sunnanå SK. For the club he came as a teenager in 2001 in Division 3 Norra Norrland fourth-rate used, and was appointed in parallel in the Swedish U-16 selection, where he debuted in August of the year in the 0-2 defeat against the Danish youth selections.

2002 Andersson was hired away from the higher class Skellefteå AIK. For the club he ran for two seasons on the third-tier Division 2 Norrland and was able to fix both the U-17 and U -18 selection in Sweden.

Shortly before the end of the season the 2003 Andersson was engaged by Hammarby IF. With two brief appearances in Allsvenskan he contributed to the runner-up behind Djurgårdens IF and the related qualification for the UEFA Cup in 2004/ 05. In the following season he conquered a permanent place, and came in all 26 regular season games for use. So he set out for coach Lars Lagerback interesting and on January 22, 2005 debuted the midfielder for the national team in a 1-1 draw against South Korea at the side of other newcomers like George Mourad and Markus Rosenberg, which also scored the goal for Sweden. After he was still counted in the following season on the permanent employees at Hammarby IF, he was increasingly prone to injury in the following years. After over a hundred games in Sweden's Elite series he left in late summer 2008 Hammarby IF.

Andersson went to Dutch club FC Groningen in the Eredivisie, where he was to replace the exchanged for PSV Eindhoven Stefan Nijland. In his new employer with whom he formed a Swedish quartet with his compatriots Andreas Granqvist, Fredrik Stenman and Marcus Berg, he signed a four year contract.

In the first half of the season in the Netherlands regulars, Andersson was injured in January 2009 at the cruciate ligament. After his convalescence in the autumn of that year he first played in the reserve team of the club. In a game the team he injured himself again at the knee.
