Petty Joy

Petty Joy ( born August 14, 1988 in Graz, real name Joana Plankl ) is an Austrian DJ and singer, who is mainly active in the genres of progressive house and dance-pop. She became famous especially by the duet Allez Allez with Uno Jahma.

Life

Joana Plankl grew up in Graz as younger of two siblings.

Her parents recognized her interest in music from a young age and encouraged this. Petty Joy's father was himself a guitarist and accompanied Petty on their first appearances. In addition, she started singing and took years professional singing lessons.

To promote creativity, she went to an art school and graduated successfully with Matura. Then she moved to Munich to undergo training as a make- up artist and also work for designers, photographers, fashion shows and MAC cosmetics. In addition, she studied graphic design and communication design.

Career

Petty Joy dealt at the beginning of her music career mainly on the genres Soul, Contemporary R & B, hip- hop and rock. After a few musical projects Joy finally began in the fall of 2011, a career as a DJ and singer. After a short time, she signed a contract with record label Planet Punk Music and produced by the German producer CCK.

She plays the world famous clubs. She is also a monthly resident DJ at the radio station Ibiza Global Radio and was booked by a number of designers for New York Fashion Week 2012. The end of 2012 she toured one months by a number of cities in India and played in various clubs of Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, Hyderabad, Kolkatta and Pune.

Their first single Allez Allez appeared on 29 September 2012. They recorded the song together with the rapper Uno Jahma on. Remixes was contributed by various dance projects such as e- Partment or Kris McTwain The single could enter within one week in all kinds of dance and DJ charts. She was also represented on compilations such as We Love Dance or Future Trance. In 2013, a cover of the song by the German rapper Carlprit appeared. His version of the track reached even the official singles chart.

Also in 2013 they released the single Cascade. She appeared on March 29, 2013, and could rise to No. 2 in the Austrian iTunes charts. The singles chart she still did not reach.
