Peugeot 2008 ( since 2013)

The Peugeot 2008 is a crossover SUV of the French car manufacturer Peugeot. It was introduced in early 2012 at the Beijing Auto Show as a study Peugeot Urban Crossover, the premiere of the series version was at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2013. The launch took place in April 2013 at a price starting from € 14,700 in Germany. This makes it cheaper than the main competitors Nissan Juke and Opel Mokka.

Construction is the model in the PSA plant in Mulhouse (France). There, the 100,000 th 2008er has rolled off the production line in February 2014.

The 2008 is technically based on the platform of the Peugeot 208 In addition to the Opel Mokka and Nissan Juke also includes the later -starting Ford EcoSport to its main competitors. A version with hybrid drive Air, in which a three-cylinder petrol engine is combined with a compressed air drive is announced for 2016.

The 2008 is also the successor to the 207 SW, since there will be no estate version of the 208.
