Peugeot 208 Active three-door (since 2012)

The Peugeot 208 is a supermini car produced by the French car manufacturer PSA Peugeot Citroën. The model is the successor to the Peugeot 207 It was 21 April 2012 initially as a three - and five-door hatchback version to the European market. Previously, the 208 was introduced in March at the Geneva Motor Show.

Equipment

The 208 is available in three trim levels: Access, Active and Allure. The basic equipment includes Access ABS, ASR, ESP, cruise control and six airbags. In addition, models with the Active line with an audio system, air conditioning and a leather steering wheel and a 7-inch touch screen monitor that allows the onboard computer and the audio system is operated and equipped. The highest trim line Allure also offers a chrome exhaust tailpipes, 16 -inch alloy wheels, fog lamps, and a 2 -zone climate control and sports seats. The available since March 2013 GTi builds on the superior equipment of the 208 Allure, but differs in some features such as the seats or rear spoiler.

Specifications

First, there were two petrol and three diesel engines to choose from. In September 2012, available only as a three-door variant and 115 kW ( 156 hp ) came strong model 208 155 THP on the market. At the same time complement the three-cylinder gasoline engines, newly developed the program. Since 2013, a 147 kW (200 hp) petrol engine in the GTi is available. As in the 1600s 207 petrol from a collaboration with BMW has arisen and is installed within the PSA Group also eg in the RCZ or DS3.

All models are powered through the front wheels and feature a 5 -speed manual transmission. The more powerful models are coupled to a 6- speed manual transmission. The two weaker diesel are also available with an automated 5 - or 6- equipped speed manual transmission.
