Peyto Lake

The Peyto Lake is a mountain lake in Banff National Park in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. He can be reached via the Icefields Parkway. The lake is fed by glaciers ( including the same Peyto Glacier ) and is shown because of its eye-catching turquoise color in many picture books about Canada. This water color is ( the rock glacier flour or milk) caused by fine particles of rock, which are also known as rock flour, or glacial flour and go with the melting water in the lake.

The Peyto Lake was named for Bill Peyto, a famous trapper and mountain guide end of the 19th century.
