PFC Beroe Stara Zagora

PFC Beroe Stara Zagora ( officially: futbolen PFK Beroe Stara Zagora Profesionalen club, Bulgarian Професионален футболен клуб Берое Стара Загора ) is a professional football club from Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. Currently the club plays in the Bulgarian league.

Club history

The club was founded in 1916 in the Bulgarian town located in the center of Stara Zagora. In 1986 won Beroe, most often called "The Greens ", the Bulgarian Championship. In addition, the club took part in the UEFA Cup at the European Cup winners and the European Champions Cup. One of the highlights here included the 1-0 win at home to Juventus in October of 1979, but replacing failed after the 0-1 defeat in the return game in the regular season and two other of Turin just in the extension.

Stadium

The Beroe Stadium is a football stadium and the home ground of Beroe Stara Zagora. The stadium has 13,500 seats and was built in 1959.
