Pha Khao District

Amphoe Pha Khao ( Thai: อำเภอ ผา ขาว, literally: County of White Cliff ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the east of the province of Loei. The Loei province is located in the western part of northeast Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Adjacent counties and regions are ( from south clockwise): Amphoe Phu the Kradueng, Nong Hin, Wang Saphung and Erawan in Loei province, and Amphoe Si Bun Rueang the province Nongbua Lamphu.

History

Pha Khao was on 1 January 1988 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the four Tambon Pha Khao Khlong Tha Chang, Non Po Daeng and Non Pa Sang from Amphoe Phu Kradueng were separated on 3 November 1993, he became the Amphoe promoted.

Management

Amphoe Na Duang is divided into five subdistricts ( tambon), which further into 64 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

In Amphoe Pha Khao, there are three small towns ( Tambon thesaban ):

  • Tha Khlong Chang ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ท่าช้าง คล้อง ) consists of the whole tambon Tha Chang Khlong,
  • Non Po Daeng ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โนน ปอ แดง ) consists of the whole tambon Non Po Daeng,
  • Non Pa Sang ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โนน ป่าซาง ) consists of the whole tambon Non Pa Sang.

There are also two " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
