Phakdi Chumphon District

Amphoe Phakdi Chumphon ( Thai: อำเภอ ภักดี ชุมพล ) is the westernmost district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of the province of Chaiyaphum, which is located in the northeast region of Thailand, known as Isaan.

Geography

The county administration is located about 70 kilometers west of the provincial capital of Chaiyaphum.

Neighboring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Nong Bua Daeng which, Nong Bua Rawe and Thep Sathit the province of Chaiyaphum, and Amphoe Wichian Buri, Sam Phan, and Nong Phai Bueng in Phetchabun province.

History

On August 1, 1988 Phakdi Chumphon first as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the Tambon Ban Chiang, Wang Thong and Chao Thaong of Amphoe Nong Bua Daeng were separated. On September 7, 1995 Phakdi Chumphon got the full Amphoe status.

Management

The circle is divided into four subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 47 villages ( Muban ).

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
