Phana District

Amphoe Phana ( Thai: อำเภอ พนา ) is a district ( Amphoe - Administrative District) Amnat Charoen Province. The Amnat Charoen province is located in the eastern part of the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Adjacent Amphoe are counted from the West: the Amphoe Lue Amnat, Mueang Amnat Charoen and Pathum Ratchawongsa Amnat Charoen Province, and Amphoe Phon Trakan Phuet, Lao Suea Kok Muang Sam Sip and in the province of Ubon Ratchathani.

History

The history of the district dates back to the city ( Mueang ) Phana Nikhon ( พนา นิคม ), which was the Mueang Ubon Ratchathani subordinate. In 1914 it was converted into a district. The district administration was in Ban Khulu, which is located in Amphoe Phon Trakan Phuet today. On 1 December 1951, the Western Tel circle was separated, and set it to the sub-district ( King Amphoe ) Phana. On July 22, 1959 Phana was promoted to Amphoe.

1993 Phana was one of the counties that make up the new Amnat Charoen Province was created.

Management

Amphoe Phana is ( tambon) divided into four municipalities, the further into 59 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There are two small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the circle:

  • Phana ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล พนา ) includes parts of the Tambon Phra Lao and parts of the tambon Phana,
  • Phra Lao ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล พระ เหลา ) includes parts of the Tambon Phra Lao.

There are also three administrative organizations ( " Tambon Administrative Organizations" - TAO, Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ).
