Phantasmagoria

A phantasmagoria (from Greek φάντασμα phantasm " Phantasm ", ἀγορά agora "assembly" ) literally means the appearance of mirages in public. More generally understood to be under an illusion or mirage.

In art it refers to the presentation of illusions, for example in fantastic pictures or on the stage.

In medicine, however, so is called associative images a random sequence, for example, in dreams or fever.
