Phantom cat

An Alien Big Cat (ABC ) ( German: alien big cat, even phantom cat ) is a so-called out-of -place sighting of big cats, that is, they are allegedly sighted in for them entirely atypical areas. Since there is no hard evidence for their existence, they are assigned to the cryptids. The global incidence of ABCs has led to many national ( and Others British Big Cats, Big Cats Irish, Australian Big Cats ) and regional ( inter alia Surrey Puma, Beast of Bodmin Moor and the Beast of Exmoor ) out names.

British Big Cats

The famous ABCs come from the United Kingdom. There are various theories as to why could be home to big cats:

  • Before the Dangerous Wild Animals Act was introduced in 1976, it was the British allowed to keep wild cats, which had become in the 1970s a kind of fashion. The Dangerous Wild Animals Act now difficult to holding those big cats as a pet greatly, which is why many owners had to come up with something to get rid of the big cats again. While the Dangerous Wild Animals Act forbade to keep big cats, but not this expose in nature. This abuse was not until 1982 berichtigt. So had many owners have had to suspend their animals enough time, so populations could have developed.
  • Domestic cats have mated with the known wild cats and so new hybrid breeds may have occurred.
  • Big cats are to be escaped from Roman amphitheatres and have formed populations.
  • Another theory based on the fact that it's been around for centuries, Great Britain has stories of big cats in ancient fables or reports. Here it is assumed that in the prehistory big cats had lived in the British Isles. Some cryptozoologists believe that these populations are never entirely died out and still live in the country.

None of these theories and allegations have been refuted by review and it has been demonstrated in the UK no population of big cats.
