Phantom Quest Corp.

Phantom Quest Corporation (Japanese幽 幻 怪 社, Yūgenkaisha, officially: You- gen- kai- sya, dt as: "Company of Ghosts and Strange ") is the title of a 4-part OVA by Madhouse on behalf of Pioneer LDC was produced. The screenplay was penned by Mami Watanabe, was directed by Koichi Chigira and Moio Asaka. The title is a pun on Yugen Kaisha (有限会社), the Japanese version of a GmbH.

Action

The OVA was released in Japan in 1994 and two years later in the USA on two VHS tapes. In Germany the series as in the U.S. was first released on two VHS cassettes, which contained both the Japanese original, as well as an English dub and was provided for the German market with a caption.

The German first released on DVD followed in 2001 by Pioneer LDC under the title "Phantom Quest Corporation - Perfect Collection". Itself, the exclusive distributor took ACOG as the basis for the video stream, the English version was used, which manifests itself in the fact that the opening and is provided Ending each episode with English lyrics.

The OVA was also shown several times in the German Free TV: The first episode of the OVA was first broadcast on the channel VOX in the context of an anime comedy night with the anime El Hazard OVA 1-2, the first episode of Wedding Peach DX and Moldiver in German synchronization, as well as the first Slayers movie, the first special of the irresponsible Captain Tylor in the Japanese original broadcast with German subtitles.

Synchronization
