Phantosmia

Phantosmie is the odor perception in the absence of an appropriate stimulus source ( fragrances ).

Phantosmie occurs after infection or as a result of trauma. The odor perception between states is usually perceived as unpleasant. They often regresses the long term ( years).

The Phantosmie is a neurophysiological symptom of disease, its molecular cause is currently unknown. It is an olfactory ( smell concerned ) hallucination, which is a bore -like ( deceptive ) sense perception without cause irritation.
