Phatthana Nikhom District

Amphoe Phatthana Nikhom ( Thai: อำเภอ พัฒนานิคม ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the south of the province of Lopburi. The Lopburi province is located in the central region of Thailand.

Geography

Adjacent Amphoe are seen from the North: Amphoe Chai Badan and the Tha Luang Lopburi province, the Amphoe Muak Lek, Wang Muang, Kaeng Khoi, Chaloem Phra Kiat and Phra Phutthabat Province Saraburi and Amphoe Mueang Lopburi Khok Samrong and in Lopburi.

The Maenam Pasak ( Pasak River ) is dammed by the Pasak - Cholasit dam in the district.

History

The county was originally created in the reign of Field Marshal Plaek Phibul Songkhram.

On February 23, 1962, the sub-district ( King Amphoe ) Phatthana Nikhom was established by the five Tambon Di Lang, Manao Wan, Khok Salung, Chong Sarika and Amphoe Nong Bua were separated from Mueang Lopburi. On July 16, 1963, he was promoted to Amphoe.

Attractions

Due to huge sunflower fields Phatthana Nikhom is a popular destination for tourists.

Management

The circle is ( tambon) divided into nine municipalities that continue in 88 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

There are three small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Phatthana Nikhom ( เทศบาล ตำบล พัฒนานิคม ) consists of parts of the tambon Phatthana Nikhom.
  • Kaeng Suea Ten ( เทศบาล ตำบล แก่ง เสือ เต้น ) consists of parts of the tambon Nong Bua.
  • Di Lang ( เทศบาล ตำบล ดี ลัง ) consists of the whole tambon Di Lang.

In addition, there are nine " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
