Phayuha Khiri District

Amphoe Khiri Phayuha ( Thai: อำเภอ พยุหะคีรี ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of Nakhon Sawan. The Nakhon Sawan Province is located in the southern part of the northern region of Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Krok Phra the, Mueang Nakhon Sawan, Tha Tako, Tak Fa and Takhli of Nakhon Sawan and Amphoe Manorom Chainat Province of Uthai Thani and Amphoe Mueang of Uthai Thani province.

History

Phayuha Khiri is an ancient city. It lay between the two major cities Phra Bang ( today Nakhon Sawan ) and Chainat Buri (now Chainat ). She also was on the standard of approach of the military forces of the kingdoms of Sukhothai and Ayutthaya.

Education

In Amphoe Khiri Phayuha is the addition Campus Nakhon Sawan, Mahidol University.

Management

Amphoe Khiri Phayuha is ( tambon) divided into eleven municipalities, which in turn in 120 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

There are two small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Phayuha ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล พยุหะ ) consists of parts of the tambon Phayuha,
  • Tha Nam Oi ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ท่า น้ำอ้อย ) consists of the Tambon Tha Nam Oi and Hak Muang.

There are also nine administrative organizations ( " Tambon Administrative Organizations" - TAO, Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ).
