Phil Bardsley

Phillip Bardsley (2011)

Phillip Anthony " Phil" Bardsley ( born June 28, 1985 in Salford, Greater Manchester ) is a Scottish- English footballer. He was eligible to play for both the English, Scottish and the Irish national team.

Bardsley attended Hope High School in Salford, along with his later team-mate Mark Howard. He played at the Charlestown Lads Club before he moved to the youth to Manchester United. He was then living near the old training ground of Manchester United, who called himself The Cliff, where he often after school is looking at the training. Before he moved to Sunderland AFC, he was the only active player at Manchester United, which has all the youth teams since he started at the age of eight years there go through.

Bardsley was often borrowed during his time at Manchester. Stations were here Royal Antwerp FC Burnley, Aston Villa, Sheffield United and Rangers.

In January 2008, Bardsley moved to Sunderland AFC.

Bardsley has assumed the Scottish citizenship and completed during the course of qualifying for Euro 2012 football championship against Spain his first cap for the Scottish national team.
