Philip Aaberg

Philip Aaberg ( born April 8, 1949 in Havre, Montana) is an American pianist and composer.

Aaberg grew up in Chester, Montana, where he played piano at a young age. His first appearance as a pianist had been with for seven years. At fourteen, he played drums in a rock 'n' roll band. His first concerts as a piano soloist with great orchestras he was at the age of sixteen. He graduated from high school in 1967 from, after which he studied piano. Aaberg plays all sorts of musical styles such as rock, New Age, boogie -woogie, blues and jazz to classical and has appeared in everything from music critics praised, some award-winning drives. Meanwhile, his focus is chamber jazz.

Aaberg played with Peter Gabriel, John Hiatt, Vinnie Colaiuta, Elvin Bishop, The Doobie Brothers and other famous artists. His recording career began in 1985 with the album High Plains, published by Windham Hill Records, with solo and ensemble recordings. Since 2000, Aaberg produced his records under its own label Sweet Grass Music. His solo album, Live from Montana was nominated for a Grammy.
