Philip Oakey

Philip Oakey ( born October 2, 1955 in Sheffield, England ) is a British musician, best known as the lead singer of the group The Human League.

As Oakey joined the band, its actual role was not defined only by the lyrics of " Being Boiled " was consolidated his position. Even before the first disk recording in the summer of 1978 rose from vocalist Adi Newton and Oakey took over the vocals. Oakeys asymmetrical haircut - a half short, the other almost shoulder length - was seminal in the development of the hairstyles in the 1980s. In collaboration with Giorgio Moroder was published in 1984 Oakeys most famous song, "Together in electric dreams" which climbed into the UK charts up to Rank 3. The follow-up single Goodbye Bad Times in 1985 reached only number 44, the common LP Chrome peaked at # 52 in the UK charts.
